Origin of “Life” on earth needed only 3 essential components – sunlight, minerals of earth and water. Life appears to have begun in water few billion years ago (Propelled by a Supreme Entity we may call – God / Nature) – first in the form of single cell bacteria, thriving by consuming dissolved minerals of water. Concurrently or later, plant life also began on earth in the form of Lichen (Algae) – propelled by the same supreme entity – by combining minerals and transforming it into plants by using water as the main element for ingesting food, and using sun light as the source of energy for the process.
Evolution of life progressed with time, to higher forms from the lower, both in water and on earth. On careful observation we can broadly find two main categories of life on earth – animals that can move on their own from their place of birth to another location in search food for survival – and the plants which stay where they are born and draw food from the minerals of earth with the help of water, with no capability to move to another location. This resulted in the plants becoming the source food for the animals – as plants cannot run and escape. Read the rest of this entry
I am Karl Loren (Founder of Vibrant Life, CA-USA & www.oralchelation.com) Below is one of my favorite articles authored by my earlier partner in India, Mr. MSR Ayyangar (Chairman & Managing Director of Emmessar Technologies Ltd, MUMBAI – INDIA) that explains in a very simple a way – the difference between drugs and medicines. I have passed this around to many as I learned so much from it. It is extremely enlightening to one and all … please carefully read below …..

You may have been consuming drugs for health – but getting sickly more and more? Did you ever think why? Drugs don’t cure! Do you know that? They only relieve or control..! Medicines alone help cure! Actually Body & Mind can completely cure themselves with the right kind of help. Do you know the actual difference between a drug and a medicine? Contrary to the normal belief that they are synonyms (same) – they are actually antonyms (opposite). Drugs take away control of your body & mind from You! Medicines reverse this and restore the control back to You!
Let me elaborately clarify here how it is so … Read the rest of this entry
When Bunny was recently suffering from a bout of sciatica, several friends suggested that she might try homeopathy. “Even if it doesn’t work, you’ve got nothing to lose; even if it doesn’t help you, it can’t harm you,” they said. So Bunny decided to give homeopathy a shot.
Other friends of ours were horrified at this. “You claim to be a rationalist. How can you believe in mumbo-jumbo like homeopathy, for which there is no scientific basis whatever? The few cases in which it’s supposed to have worked are obviously instances of the placebo effect: you believe strongly enough that something is going to cure you, you cure yourself. How can you believe in homeopathy, how can you have faith in it?”
And the answer to that is that you don’t have to have faith in something – be it homeopathy or anything else – in order to try it out, to practice it, while keeping your fingers crossed that it will work. In fact, faith itself – faith in a religion or in a non-denominational Divine Principle which is synonymous with the cosmos – is like homeopathy in that sense: you don’t have to have faith in faith in order to try it out, to practice it, keeping your fingers crossed that it works. Needles may not seem like the best tool for treating stress, but acupuncture could be tapping into basic biological systems that keep stress under control.
Reporting in the Journal of Endocrinology, researchers led by Ladan Eshkevari, assistant program director of the nurse anesthesia program at Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies, mimicked chronic stress in a rat model and documented how stimulating certain body points with acupuncture can alter stress hormones.
The body’s stress response is triggered by two main pathways, one of which involves the HPA axis, or hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis, in which these areas of the brain are activated to release peptides and proteins such as corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH). They, in turn, launch the production of other hormones such as cortisol and norepinephrine that rev up the anxiety meter. Once activated, the system causes the heart to beat faster and the senses to go on alert. It also diverts the body’s energy away from background operations such as digestion to prime and fuel the muscles into a state of readiness. Read the rest of this entry
