Problems of Women – Past & Present

Except in external physical shape, reproductive & endocrine systems – Man & Woman of human race & specie – are equally endowed in all planes of existence –viz- physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual. The God’s purpose of these differences is obvious – the procreation – Function Dictates Structure. Union of Male & Female is fundamental to evolution of Life into higher levels of existence.

God introduced a new complexity in the game of Life, for “His” own thrill & enjoyment – Masculine Women & Feminine Men … and as if not enough … a neutral gender – who by no measure are inferior to others in their specie – but often, occupy an inferior position & place for no fault of theirs – but imposed by those who have an advantage of majority, with God given reproductive ability.

Why this male dominance of female in most forms of life on earth with few exceptions?

Life is a game of Survival. Survival is a game of wars. A war will have many battles. War is a game of strategy – hence needs mental strength. Battle is a game of dominant force – hence needs physical strength. So, historically, males kept winning battles while females kept winning wars of “Survival”. This has been going on – and will go on forever – in all species of Life.

In this process of natural selection, female population periodically increased higher than male population. Immediately, sensing the danger, the male population created social rules for a foul play, to bring down the female population for balance – like “Sati Sahagamanam” in the past and female foeticide & infanticide in the present – not aware that they as a gender, will have to pay heavy price for this later. 10 Commandments generated from “My Own Life”

1. Intentions are never seen by people – but actions are seen. Hence actions will have to be tailored to project intentions properly. Agreements should never be violated – unless & until they are changed by a new agreement. Here, time spent is not a waste – as it builds strong foundation for the “super structure” that will have stability.

2. People understand rarely – but misunderstand very easily and quickly. Leaders (office bearers) should never forget this. Strong human society is built by assuming “average intelligence”  or lower, of its people – but never high level of intelligence.

3. Forgiving is good – but not forgetting. Person, who forgets, learns no lessons from the past – so never improves in future actions.

4. Those, who are in the habit of digging themselves in – (into their own grave) – will have to be allowed to dig themselves out on their own – lest no lessons are ever learnt by them. Helping them out by playing to their tune – will often result in our falling in that grave from them. They will not stop – but continue digging for others …!!!

5. There are people who can blame you for saving their lives – as you did not take their prior permission …!!! Read the rest of this entry

The Genesis of Corruption – Organized Violence

“The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion – but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact, non-Westerners never do”. Samuel P. Huntington

‘Corruption’ is essentially a pejorative noun, closely associated with bad morality and dishonesty. As a process it charts a path of decay, to ‘impurity’. Used in relation to computers, it is more associated with ‘containing mistakes’ – different from the original. A mistake is not necessarily a bad thing, or morally bad. In this circumstance you could formulate the equation that mistakes plus time equals corruption. An error is generally also a mistake, however an error can have moral implications, such as in ‘the errors of one’s ways’ – the ‘errors’ here being wrong behavior or beliefs. The difference is notably whether a procedure is accidental or not.

When, in the book of Genesis, God instructed Adam and Eve not to touch the tree of knowledge in The Garden of Eden, he knew they would disobey.  God’s human prototypes were created inherently corrupt   and placed in a landscape primed to be corrupted. The garden was God’s own interactive installation. The secret knowledge to be garnered was potentially mind-blowing and also the bitterest of pills.

There are few more view points of thinkers and you can read them here …

However I find all the above to be intellectually stimulating and thought provoking articles – but do not give the clarity on the “Cause” of corruption in the beginning.

Corruption in any form primarily indicates – either the lack of, or total absence of “Self-esteem”. This can be found to be individual or collective in a society. When a person aspires to – Have without Doing anything to Earn it … he is internally “degraded”. Unfortunately this degeneration is so intoxicating and addictive – he will never want to be out of it for fear of insecurity. He hardly realizes that this “material prosperity” is progressively causing irreversible “mental poverty”.

Easy money of corruption, which obviously cannot be revealed to the society at large, has to be some-how spent for luxury – and that is … Alcohol, Drugs & Debauchery!  What is the result? Medical treatments! Demand for more hospitals and doctors. What do they do? Try and rob these “robbers” of their loot. What is the end result? Innocent and poor commoners cannot afford these costly medical treatments for their genuine health problems. The vicious cycle of degradation & degeneration continues till a “Bloody Revolution & Blood Bath” destroys the entire society or a country. This cycle goes on. In the game of survival called “Life” – corruption is “contra survival” in the long run – a fact hardly realized by the corrupt.

Lord Krishna knew this fundamental human nature and said – Sambhavami Yuge – Yuge!

Mirror – The Wonder

In the Bible, the Book of Genesis says that God made man in his own image. Therefore when we look into a mirror do we merely see our own image? Or, are we looking into the face of God?

Man first found his own image in water and got scared. Later when that image did not haunt or harm him – he started wondering what could be that thing …  moving, mimicking and gesticulating in such perfect, simultaneous and instantaneous replication!

It took some evolution before he understood that – in fact it is his own image! Ever since that time – he fell in love with the objects that reflects his own image. He was not satisfied with the fidelity of reproduction and went on to invent the Mirror. Mirror has become the integral part of human lives – the first thing to visit when you wake up in the morning, and mostly the last thing to look into – before going to bed each and every day. A lady can probably go without food for days – but not without a mirror for few hours.

Contrary to the belief that mirror shows your own image exactly the way you are – it actually shows it in inverse – right & left – interchanged. In fact only a photograph shows you the way you actually are – but never the mirror. Thus mirror creates the first illusion. Subsequently, mirror has been used by many magicians for creating much bigger illusions.

There are areas of the world, including parts of the USA, Greece and Southern Ireland, where it was, and in some cases still is, the tradition that when there is a death in the house, all the mirrors in the household are covered until the body has been removed, so that the soul of the dead person will not be forever trapped there. There is also a belief that if a person was to look at the reflected image of the dead person in a mirror then they would see the face of the devil.

The thought of the soul being seen in a mirror, would also explain why, in stories of vampires, the vampire does not have a reflection in a mirror. As the vampire is already dead it has no soul and therefore cannot have a reflection. To break a mirror is to have seven years of misfortune and bad luck, is a widely held superstition. There are a couple of reasons as to how this may have come about and became widely believed.

The Correct Understanding of Beauty

In a time when beauty is often equated, in many cultures, with a “fair” complexion or a fashionably thin figure or the shape of the nose, it is interesting to look back to a time when beauty was defined in holistic terms, and that beauty was within every woman’s reach.

Right thinking, clear speech, regulated and refined body-language are all essential parts of true beauty.

Ayurveda, the most ancient healing system of India, has a unique perspective on beauty.

Holistic, all-encompassing, the Ayurvedic definition of beauty reads thus –

Roopam, Gunam, Vayastyag – iti – Shubhanga Soundarya Kaaranam.

According to Ayurveda, there are 3-foundations of beauty.

Roopam is outer beauty – personified by shining healthy hair and a clear radiant complexion with sparkling Eyes.

Gunam refers to inner beauty – the beauty that shines from within, characterized by a warm pleasing personality and innocence of mind and heart.

Vayastyag means lasting beauty – looking, and feeling younger than your chronological age.”

Thus, Ayurveda does not focus only on cosmetics to achieve the state of true beauty.

Roopam does not specify a type of figure or the color of the skin or the length or style of the hair. Outer beauty, according to Ayurveda, is a reflection of good health – Mental & Physical. The frame of the body is what you are born with. Each type of body structure can be beautiful as long as good health exists.

“You are what you eat.” Ayurveda takes this notion very seriously. In fact it goes a step further to say “You are what you digest and assimilate.” A radiant clear complexion begins with proper nutrition, efficient digestion and assimilation of nutrients by the body and regular elimination of toxins. Yadha Bhojanam, Thadha Vyakthithwam – says Ayurveda – meaning “The way you eat is the way you become!

There are simple Ayurvedic principles you can follow. Some of Ayurvedic tips MSR Ayyangar (Inventor of VedaCeuticals) strongly recommends for life are …….
